The 2nd Bulgarian Senior Amateur Open Championship took place at Lighthouse Golf Resort from 17th till 20th of May 2022. More than 80 players took part in the Senior event that Bulgarian Golf Association has organised. place from the 9th to 11th September 2021
A WARG ranking Event
Lighthouse Golf Course is designed by the famous ex-Ryder Cup Captain – Ian
Woosnam. The championship golf course is of a “links” design. Contributing to the
stunning scenery are the outstanding natural landscapes around which Ian Woosnam
has created a brilliant selection of holes. The golf course offers an exciting challenge to
both professional players and amateurs alike. All of whom are most welcome to test
their skills.
In 2018 Lighthouse Golf & Spa Resort hosted the European Tour Properties Senior
Classic and welcomed golf professionals from all over the world at the age of 50 and
over, led by world-renowned Ian Woosnam, winner of the US Masters 1991 and
designer of Lighthouse Golf Course. The tournament was the only one of its kind in the
world and culminated in the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the golf course,
opened in September 2008.
